I wish someone could tell me if I have to be on calcium channel blockers for an A Flutter. This drug is making me bald and other bad things. I hate it and I want off. But I don't know if I can?

We need some great teachers like you here in Michigan! All the professors in my nursing program are so hard to follow and get mad when we dont understand and ask questions! You have helped me get through my final semester of Nursing school. Thank you!

Cont. Obviously I've had 37 years of poking, prodding, testing, scans of every king by a number of specialist. FHM appears to be a rather new thing for doctors and in my experience most don't have a clue that it's not a typical migraine as the name suggests and typical migraine meds are contradictory to the condition. I'm also a cortezone responder and was actually formally diagnosed by a panel of neurologist during a large conference my primary Doctor went to in Seattle, WA and gave them my file and history in 2006. If you're interested in learning more of my condition and may have some suggestions that do not include narcotics I'd love to message you more. Thank you for your time. Trisha Adams. I have a different email address if you might want to know more. Thanks again for your time. For those who haver never experienced this rare disorder their are no words to explain what it does phyiscally, emotionally and morally to the person…..

Cont. pressure spikes quickly hence stroke concern, then progresses through several symptoms prior to the uncontrollable spasm and electrical "events which feel like thousands of bees stinging" on the right front of my brain behind the right eye. This progresses to pins and needles down the right side of my body then numbness. It has also caused lies ions in the white matter in my brain and tilted disc syndrome and high ocular pressure. Over the years my medical team have tried almost every kind of medication unti my primary said enough experimenting with seizure and other powerful medications and we now inject morphine to blanket the pain. If I don't control the pain right away it seems to create a life of its own and the symptoms take off leaving me totally debilitated until it stops. They seem to start on Sunday's and I get an injection Monday and if I'm lucky they may or may not start easing down by Wednesday. I have been educating myself on this disorder the best I can Any ideas?

Michael I love the way you explain things for those of us not in the medical profession can understand them.i was hoping you could explain my disorder I'm going to describe and maybe have any suggestions on treatment that may work other than Verapamil and morphine. I have been diagnosed with Hemiplegic Migraines which is in my mind a totally misdemeanor since this is not a typical migraine but a symptom of a Inherite nuerological chromosone disorder with a mutated gene involving Chromosone 1 and 19. It's my understanding that part of the disorder is that the calcium channel blockers do not work correctly creating the brain to think my body is having a stroke. This condition runs back six generations in my family which has caused several family members with actual strokes and even death. I am 57 years old and my first one was at the age of 20; so they have progressed over the years and have currently becoming more severe as I age and have a pattern at times. What's better, beta blockers or calcium channel blockers for controlling heart rate during exercise ?

I love your teaching style, but you sounds a lot like Barney.

Hi, thank you for the video.
My teacher said Ca2+ channel blocker affects the AV node ( Negative dromotropic). In your video, you said no negative droomotropic.
Can you explain more?

Your veins have channels in them? Dude, what?
Estella Barros
Michael I love your videos , but I disagree. With you. Calcium channel blockers slow inward calcium current in cardiac tissue, thereby having a negative dromotropic, chronotropic and inotropic effect. They may also cause bradyarrhythmias and aggravate left ventricular failure.
