Since my 4 year old daughter has started furosemide she gets high heart rate. Above 200. I’ve told this to her nurses and doctors and the blow me off. The even upped her dose and frequency to 3 times a day and it stresses me out because her pulse ox machine is constantly alarming us. If anyone has any advice, I’d appreciate it.

I'm having trouble with my potassium after being on Hydrochloritrizide for over a year and then switching to HTZ & Spironolactone combo. Now I'm on a higher dosage of Spironolactone. I feel like crap! I have so many of the side effects issues but the doctor just blows me off. There has got to be a medication out there to treat my HBP without all the side effects that making feel like it's doing so much damage to my body. I was even admitted to the hospital for having a slow heart rate and low potassium. Ugh!

furosemide can be given with renal failure patients, no? I think it's used to treat AKI
