I was on three and through alot of counseling and work with a nurse practitioner I am down to half the dose I used to be of one. Sometimes there is a compromise to being on or off meds. My dose is at night so most of my side effects I sleep through.

I understand you completely. I've got exactly same side effects on my meds and same thoughts about it all. Maybe sometimes I just doubt if it is an Illness or maybe more like some kind of conspiracy but regardless – thank you for this video it really helped me out. The restlessness you described is called akathisia, it is a common side effect of antipsychotics, it is an inner restlessness that cannot be satiated no matter where you are or what you are doing. It can lead to exhaustion. It is one reason I don't personally recommend antipsychotics, it is better to learn to live with the condition where possible and find other things that help.

I was misdiagnosed and was given anti psychotics and all remembered from that time was sleeping through every class in my senior year of high school.

I really dislike these drugs, they're nothing more than a tranquilizer. As a husband and father I need to be able to live a functional and productive life which these drugs make it difficult.

The cotton mouth is ridiculous on antipsychotics. I have times where my mucous coagulate in the back of my throat, causing me to swallow a lot. I tend to drink double (and sometimes triple) the normal water intake. Then there's the hand sweats….. I've dropped many knives because of the hand sweats.
